Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's excited to have FlyteComm onboard

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — January 20, 2005 — FlyteComm is now an official sponsor of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's 'The North American Challenge'.

"Welcome on board! Following his previous successful aviation record to land at all the 105 hard surface airports in the State of Florida in August 2003, Benjamin Riecken teamed with Jean Olivier Mbog are now on a quest to cross the North Atlantic in June 2005. The North Atlantic Challenge is a flight that will take these two pilots from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University onboard a single engine aircraft across 11 countries in 20 days to set world speed records and promote aviation education along their route. The flight will take them up the east coast of the United States to Canada, Greenland, Iceland, England, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland to their final destination in Austria. The aircraft is a four-seated Diamond Star modified for long-range flight. Prior to their departure, they will undertake a rigorous flight and survival training."
