ChevronTexaco to unveil general aviation and
commercial flight tracking services for FBOs at AS3 show
San Jose, CA – 25 March 2002. ChevronTexaco and FlyteComm have partnered to provide web-based flight tracking tools designed to meet the needs of ChevronTexaco fixed base operators. These tools are available immediately on the ChevronTexaco TotalGA portal. They range from web-based real-time aircraft situational displays (ASD) to snapshots of individually tracked flights. In order to address the needs of FBOs, FlyteComm ensured that all ChevronTexaco branded FBOs have their airports in the system. Additionally, FlyteComm’s tools are designed to track both general aviation and commercial flights.
The advanced services include FlyteTrax 2002 and FlyteTrax Express. Both versions of FlyteTrax are feature-rich ASD flight tracking and weather display systems that provide clear real-time views of the North American airspace. Fixed base operators can use it to plan more effectively, better respond to flight delays and save valuable time and resources in meeting customer needs. TotalGA’s web-based FlyteTrax is designed with ChevronTexaco FBO requirements in mind. The tool includes arrival estimates, aircraft activity logging, real-time tracking for North American airports, auto-notification range rings, and aircraft search and filter. Both versions of FlyteTrax come with and without satellite weather overlays.
FlyteFinder is also available through the TotalGA portal. ChevronTexaco will be including FlyteFinder in the base subscription available to all users at no additional cost. FlyteComm designed FlyteFinder as a simple to use web based tracking tool for monitoring individual general aviation and commercial flights. It features a graphical aircraft position display, departure and destination points, aircraft type, altitude, ground speed, departure time and ETA.
